# Acknowledging NMTHPC If you use the New Mexico Tech High Performance Computing resources in your research, we ask that you acknowledge NMTHPC in your publications and presentations. ## Why Acknowledge NMTHPC? Acknowledging NMTHPC in your publications: - Documents the impact of HPC resources on research - Supports continued funding and expansion of computational resources - Helps justify infrastructure investments - Provides visibility for the service ## Suggested Acknowledgment Text If this you use this system as part of a research project, please acknowledge acknowledge it in journal articles or other media outlets as: ```{note} We are grateful for the computation time on the High Performance Computing resource at New Mexico Tech. NMTHPC was funded by the National Science Foundation (Award 2320162), and maintained by New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. ``` ### For Publications Please include an acknowledgment similar to: ```{note} "This research was supported in part through computational resources provided by the New Mexico Tech High Performance Computing facility (NMTHPC). NMTHPC was funded by the National Science Foundation (Award 2320162), and maintained by New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology." ``` ## Grant Proposals If you're writing a grant proposal that will use NMTHPC resources, here is an example text for budget justification (or similar) type document: ```{note} We request $X dollars for X hours in computer services fees to support use of the New Mexico Tech high performance computing system. In detail, the support will include compilation and testing of software, running and optimization of models, and any related services. The rate for computer support services from the Information and Technology Center at NMT is currently $50/hr. ``` ### Facilities and Equipment Language You may adapt the following text for grant proposals: ```{note} New Mexico Tech provides high-performance computing resources through the NMT HPC cluster.
